Who am I?


Hey, I am Christian Bonson. I am taking BA 223, principles of marketing, because I am a business major that has some self-interest in social media and internet marketing. I have an interest in a variate of activities; I love football, music and video games and try to keep up with all of them the best that I can.

Though I no longer play football I plan to go to tryouts; once I transfer to Oregon State University. I have played football since I was a toddler and with an organization since the 5th grade, until my senior year of high school. I have played every position on the field, except for kicker and quarterback. My freshman year of I started as an offensive and defensive lineman and senior year I ended as a linebacker. I can't wait until I suit up for a game.

What is Google doing?!

Everybody knows about the company Google because they are the biggest search engine, they are the ones that handle Andriod, and they bring in the most money out of any company in ad revenue. It seems as though their hardware might be slightly lackluster though, with their Google Home coming in late to the game and jumping into the cell phone market when there is little profit to be made unless you have a competitive price which Google does not. Don't get me wrong, Google is a great company that some of the best software out there but something seems off about their hardware.  Let's start by dissecting the company. to help understand why they might be doing this. Walmart's Twitter Success

Walmart. I think that Walmart  gets a lot of scrutiny, but they do quite a few things very well. One of the things, which is what they are most known for, is their cheap prices. What I find more interesting though is their social media. They are exceptional at replying to their customers; this is most well seen on Twitter.  If you go to their Twitter and look at tweets with replies it is just full of replies back to their customer. Their marketing team is very good at responding to tons of customers and having a more interactive response than just thank you. As seen in the picture below they love to engage with their customers. If you look through their twitter you see tons of heartfelt replies, not the generic ones you often see for other big companies. Walmart also does a good job of posting frequently but not so often that it would disturb one's Twitter.
